Initial Idea 2
Concept 2:
The second concept I might follow up for my music film to 'Beautiful People' by Chris Brown, is one that follows the organisation and professional filming of a dancer and his choreography. Within July, myself and a friend that has been studying media throughout her GCSE's and into College helped me film a choreographed/free styled piece, danced by a professional hip-hop, freestyle dancer, Dan.

Our set up was in a modern day basketball court, I chose this place as it has a wide, symmetrical backdrop that gives the affect of a popularly used, but hidden away public area. I wanted to contrast between the modern design and a popular sport that has been around for years. With dark colours and a worn orange wall mount and hoop as a backdrop it creates a retro feel. Dan is wearing dark fashionable clothing which fits in with current trends (2017).
- Clips will show professional and non professional clips of Dan dancing. This will follow the concept of the music video: showing the development of the film.
- Enhance the colour on the professionally filmed clips, this will separate the two sets of footage.
- Sharp changes between each clip and footage will work with the rhythm beat of music.
- Possible use of audio from clips to create a difference between the non/professional clips.
- General outcome will be a dancing video that follows the concept of a camera behind a camera, this will create a duel narrative within my music video.
The second clip is a takeaway shot following the dancer entering the basketball court. This is filler footage and will feature slightly later in the music video to portray the development of the filming and how the dancer came to be in the basket ball court.
Because of the blue metal and greenery surrounding the basketball court, the footage has a natural darker tone to it. I relied on natural lighting which effected the lightness of the footage.
